“Hermes & John” – 2017 Theological Conference Presentation

Over the weekend I had the pleasure of attending the 2017 Theological Conference hosted by Restoration Fellowship in Atlanta.  Below is a recording of my presentation, “Hermes & John: The Fourth Gospel in the Early Gnostic World.”  Many thanks to Carlos and Sarah for the audio/video work, and to everyone involved in hosting the event!

Ultimately, I consider this presentation to be the opening of a door towards the much-neglected possibility that the Gospel of John was composed, in part, to deal with early Gnostic issues.  Due to time constraints, this video represents only a portion of my research on this important topic, and my goal, as time permits, is to present more of this research here at Buried Deep.  So check back soon for more updates on Hermes & John!
